Welcome to our Birth Section!

Every birth is so unique and the 'average' birth never feels 'average' to the woman delivering the baby!

You have been through nine months of waiting for baby to grow and develop and finally the moment arrives when that first sign - a twinge, a show, or in some cases a baby (!!) - indicates that you're about to be a mum.

Whether it's the first time or the tenth time, each birth brings with it a wealth of emotions, exeriences and thoughts.

Most woman will know that birth is immenant when they feel or their midwife tells them that baby is 'engaged'.  No, there's no ring, it means that your baby's head has slipped down into the pelvis region.  Your bump changes shape, and pressure eases from the upper region, providing relief from indigestion and heart burn.

This section brings you information about the final countdown, labour, home birth, hospital birth and c-sections.

If we are missing something, be sure to let us know!
