shescomingactnatural

Do kids have a sixth sense, or what?  You’re busy in kitchen or bathroom, and the kids are playing happily.  But suddenly, an eerie quiet descends.  It’s too quiet!  you think, they have got to be up to something!  You try to catch them in the act with a guerrilla approach but before you can place a foot in the room, all seems normal.  Guilty faces, sure, but nothing is amiss….yet.  It’s almost as if they can feel you approaching and all say “Quick, she’s coming!  Act Natural!”.

If you really want to keep them out of mischief, (and by mischief we mean your best red lippy/the hose/the flour/glue/the tool box), then a collection of fabulous toys from Planet Fun will probably do the trick.  Your girl will go la-la over Lalaloopsy, and there’s also the Boom Boom Balloon and Little Tikes Memory Match Up to keep them occupied.  A Rainbow loom will provide hours of fun (and peace for you), and when they are ready to veg out, you can throw on Planes 2, Mickey Clubhouse Super Adventures, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, or Doc McStuffins.  Hand out a round of Collective Yoghurt Suckies and you have the perfect recipe for happy kids, a peaceful house, and everyone acting natural.

This competition is now closed.  Thanks for entering.

Act natural all right! Last night, I’d created the new Elf On A Shelf scenario after Mr 9 had gone to bed, and about 20 minutes later he walks into the lounge because he’d woken up. To say I got a fright is an understatement, he’s probably woken and got up less than a dozen times in his 9.5 years. After I’d sworn and then frightened him, I realised there was no way to easily get him back to bed without exposing the EOAS set up. Dilemma resolved by putting him into my bed whilst thinking, missed a bullet, but made a rod lol.

My most memorable one of these was when I was getting a bit of work done and I realised I was actually able to concentrate, not a good sign! I looked up and Mr2 who was only 1 then was pouring dishwashing liquid all over the floor. Thank god it was a hard floor and he hadn’t eaten it!

This happened to me today, after doing some diy that involved red paint, I was feeding my 6month and soon discovered miss 5 and mr 3 had gotten into the leftover paint and painted their bodies with it(just after they had been bathed and dressed in pyjamas) so these would definitely come in handy!! :)

Silence is golden…..unless you have children !!! You dream of peace and quiet but the reality is that the old adage of children should be seen and not heard is a thing of the past.
I love the sound of my children (well maybe not when they’re fighting), but it would be nice to have something to not keep them quiet, but to keep them amused, especially when holidays are coming up

I have three kids who would love some of these treats when camping for the first time over the summer. They create their fair share of mischief, but after realising first-hand how short life can be this year, I tend to put it down to “exploring” more and more -> Except for when they bought the hose inside on Monday (to fill the indoor pots) that was, despite their best attempts at a convincing explanation, very much bordering on mischief!
My mops and towels had their work cut out for them!

You know what? Last time there was a suspiciously long quiet period I ran to the lounge full of apprehension, and found my littler ones… sitting on the couch absorbed in their library books! I nearly told them off anyway just ‘cos I’d been so worried & convinced they were up to mischief!
But they really are lovely, very well-behaved kids (most of the time), and a little bit of spoiling over summer might do them some good :-)

Yes! Silence is deadly in this household. If my toddlers aren’t making each other scream, I know they’re bonding by collectively finding objects to climb on and open door knobs, usually to their 13 year old sisters room where they find a treasure trove of makeup and jewellery they like to spread around the room causing shrieks from my daughter and I’m in the dog box for the week while my toddlers are grinning ear to ear, covered in lipstick. Or, wait, Mum’s in the toilet and she didn’t put the margarine away… that was fun trying to get the margarine out of my 1 year old’s hair the other day while his 2 year old brother stood there eating it… oh, the stories I could tell you about my youngest boys

I have a 6 year old daughter who would especially love these toys! (and 4 year old twin boys who would try to play with them too).
