cardboard toys

Ok, this is the motherlode of cardboard crafts, just in time for the school holidays.  Crazy helmets, shields, fishtanks, guitars, houses…the list goes on!  Grab your boxes, scissors and tape, add some paints for good measure, and you have hours of cardboard crafting possibilities.    Younger children will need your help, but for older kids you could show them a picture, set them up on a table, and let them go for it.  Or better yet, don’t show them a picture and just see what they can come up with by themselves.

We thought that this no water aquarium was particularly cool, and that decorating shields would be a great activity followed up by some imaginative play.  Preferably outdoors.  While you have a cup of coffee.
